On March 4, 2026, the Artificial Intelligence Latvia Association (MILA) organized an event "AI Solutions for Latvian Municipalities", which drew significant interest from public sector representatives across Latvia. Over 40 participants attended in-person at the University of Latvia Library in Riga, with more than 400 joining online.
The event was organized in collaboration with AI Salon Riga, the University of Latvia's AI and Computing Center, and the Latvian Municipal ICT Association. Its purpose was to introduce municipal representatives to practical AI applications that could enhance work efficiency, reduce administrative burden, and develop modern public services.
Member organizations presented various AI implementations: Ēvalds Urtāns on document automation and information analysis; Tet on MI infrastructure and data sovereignty; ANIMAS on public procurement data analysis; Lexu AI on tools for municipal lawyers; Fintelligence on risk analysis; Peak Defence on cybersecurity and NIS2; Tilde on real-time speech transcription.
The event confirmed that Latvian technology companies offer practical AI solutions helping municipalities improve operational efficiency and service quality.
